Saundra “Sandy” Hamilton,  the proprietor of 449 LA SCAT, saw the need for a place for artists to be able to showcase their various talents. As an avid art lover, Sandy had the vision to create the premiere place to listen to Jazz music and to be enveloped in classical artwork. Here at 449, there is an inherent belief that artistry should be shared and disseminated into the Harlem community which we have served since 2002.
